MyDance is for those who feel confined by daily routines or societal norms and wish to rediscover a natural rhythm within. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to reconnect to their body and awaken the flow of creative and healing life force energy within them. If yoga aims to connect mind and body through breath and structured movements, MyDance taps deeper into the feminine intelligence of intuition and the subconscious.
What does it look like:
In a MyDance session, the space becomes a safe and sacred container for movement and exploration. We begin with rituals and blessings to create a connection between our consciousness, body, plant-intelligence and spirit. After a gentle warm-up, guiding you to breathe and tune into your body's wisdom, you’re invited to follow the impulses of your body, moving into areas of discomfort to unveil and release the stuck energies, stories and memories stored there. The session is facilitated, with prompts to encourage a blend of structured movements and free-flowing expressions. You may find yourself making movements and sounds you don’t usually experience in other. In this practice, there is no judgment or need for perfection, just a deepening connection with your body’s natural language.
